Hello and welcome to the first blog from the GLL Publishing website. My name is Gladys Lawson and this blog will be the first of many to come. I am hoping that this will be a forum where I can share things with readers and from time to time incorporate some of my readers’ constructive views. The latest book from GLL Publishing is called U Murder U (Suicide) and is available from the website in a red or black cover at a special price. Here are a few words taken from the back blurb.
“Why did ten young people wake up one morning and convene at a Central London Hospital to take part in a suicide pact? What possessed them to do this? What possessed them to drink a concoction of stolen hospital drugs mixed with chemicals, the mixture so strong that it dissolved their innards in minutes? They died in so much pain – their dead faces were literally gargoyle in agony as blood oozed out of their orifices.”
During my research for the book U Murder U (Suicide), I read so many stories where people felt hopeless and unloved which really saddened me. Although U Murder U (Suicide) is a fictional thriller it is a story that so many people can relate to because of the various characters in the book. I write stories I hope people will read and come away with many things, one thing being the knowledge that they are loved. When a person truly knows they are loved they have the ability to conquer so many battles – knowledge is power!
Below is a poem from my book ‘Despite all odds: A Dream Fulfilled Part 1.
I Am Loved As I Am
I may not be who you want me to be
I may not see the things you see
but am I really that different? Do you think I am strange?
Is there a part of me you would like to change?
Stop for a minute, don’t be in such a haste
rushing around like you have no time to waste.
There really is not that much difference between you and I
we all have faults, cover them up though we try.
But wait, maybe there is a slight difference.
What? You ask – what can it be?
Well, when you look in the mirror what do you see?
Because when I look I see eyes full of love, a heart full of joy
secure in God’s love which no one can take away or destroy.
Look, can you see it, can you see what I do?
No, then turn away, turn towards, look again, see it now?
Yes, He loves you too.
My next blog will be from America where I will be after Christmas. Before I sign off I want to say a big ‘Thank you’ to someone who went above and beyond the call of duty at the company where my books were converted to ebooks. Matthew at electricreads.com was efficient, patient and professional and someone I wholeheartedly recommend.
So, until next time readers, have a great Christmas and an amazing Happy New Year!
Best wishes x
