U Murder U (Suicide) can be obtained in a black or red cover at www.gllpublishing.com PROLOGUE Chicago, Several Years Ago Her days and her nights had become one. Nothing pleased her, nothing made her happy anymore. She hated the way she felt and hated even more the way her husband and the doctors tippy-toed around her, talking to her like she was a five year old while expecting her to act like a mother and wife. She tried to tell the doctors that her poor appetite, her inability to shut down at night and sleep like a normal person and her constant feeling of low self-esteem were not right and meant that something wasn’t right, not that she was merely depressed. She tried to tell her husband that the fact that she was always tired, moody and wasn’t turned on sexually by him anymore since she had the baby meant that something wasn’t right and not that she was just depressed. No one listened to her and since her baby was four years old they all dispelled the thought that she had ‘baby-blues’. In the past four years she had seen three physicians and five psychiatric doctors and the only thing they all seemed to agree on was that she was showing signs of depression caused by something they couldn’t identify. They took her husband’s money and in exchange gave her drugs to take (uppers and downers) which were supposed to make her feel better but often left her feeling like she was stranded on a desert island, terrified of the water around her and allergic to the sand beneath...

I spent Christmas 2015 in Atlanta and one of the places I took my children to was Martin Luther King Jr’s House, the King Center and the Ebenezer Baptist Church so that we could experience history. It was amazing to see so many photographs and video clips as well as hear stories about the King family and how things were when Martin his brother and sister were growing up. I took so many pictures and have put a few here to share with you. I heard a recital of the ‘I Have A Dream’ speech in the Ebenezer Baptist Church and when the words ‘Free at last, I’m free at last, thank God Almighty I’m free at last’ were said I literally felt goosebumps form on my arms. Going to Atlanta and seeing where Martin Luther King Jr was born, listening to all the things he and the many other people who worked with him did and the difference they made has inspired me to push forward in 2016 and work hard to fulfil my dreams and make a difference in my life and the lives of others. I hope 2016 is a great year for you, I hope that you push forward inspired by the lives of others who have come before you to make your life and the lives of others who are currently here and those who will come after you – better. Be Inspired I have been in New York now for six days and I am having a really great time. I’ve stayed in Brooklyn and Staten Island and I’ve taken the train by myself and gone to places I haven’t been to before. Shopping on 34th and in New Jersey are things I have done in the past but the last time I was in New York was 2003 and things have really changed. I won’t go into detail on the what and how but what I will do is talk about a few things that have really inspired me here. The first is a new fashion house called Yemeecee by Adura. The owner is a lady who has so much talent and the ability to take any fabric and create amazing clothes that had me stunned when I saw them. Her creations are not only elegant they are comfortable and very eye-catching. She can make any design and has the ability to blend traditional African and English styles resulting in very glamorous outfits – see an example of one below. I was so blown away by her creations that I commissioned her to design some outfits for me. I haven’t come across anything like her designs in London and intend wear my outfits there and make some fashion waves, so watch out London I will soon be back and wearing Yemeecee by Adura. A Yemeecee by Adura creation The second is this amazing cake company called Sa-Shelle where they don’t only make wonderful cakes they also decorate them to specification. Two sisters work together to produce cakes like the one below. These are not just your average...
